Tour Plan
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe by our professional driver-guide. Enjoy scenic views of Uganda’s countryside, rolling hills, and vast plantations along the way. You’ll have a stop at the Equator for photography and a lunch break in Mbarara before proceeding to Kisoro, the gateway to Mgahinga.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy a relaxing evening with stunning views of the Virunga Volcanoes.

Wake up early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters at Ntebeko for a pre-trek briefing by experienced rangers. Learn about gorilla tracking etiquette and what to expect before embarking on your unforgettable trek into the dense forests of Mgahinga.
The trek can last between 1 to 5 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once you find them, you'll spend one magical hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and watching playful interactions.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you can opt for the Batwa Cultural Trail Experience, where you’ll walk with the Batwa pygmies, Uganda’s indigenous forest people, and learn about their traditional way of life.

After the morning activity, enjoy lunch at the lodge before beginning the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, marking the end of your incredible Mgahinga Gorilla Safari.
